"Because of the shallow depth of penetration, the energy and, therefore, heat associated with MMWs will be deposited within the first 1-2 mm of human skin. MMWs have been used in states of the former Soviet Union to provide therapeutic benefit in a number of diverse disease states, including skin disorders, gastric ulcers, heart disease and cancer. Other studies have found that exposure to millimeter wave radiation reduced metastasis of tumor cells.
Conversely, the possibility exists that hazards might be associated with accidental overexposure to MMWs. This review attempts to critically analyze the likelihood of such acute effects as burn and eye damage, as well as potential long-term effects, including cancer."

4G Uplink:
Single-TX operation implies that there will not be simultaneous transmission on the LTE and NR uplink carriers within a device even though the device is operating in LTE/NR dual-connectivity.
Another situation that needs to be taken care of is the simultaneous uplink
transmission of LTE and NR in the case of a device operating in dualconnectivity
between LTE and NR. Note that, at least in an initial phase of NR
deployment this will be the normal mode-of-operation as the first release of the
NR specifications only support non-standalone NR deployments. In this case, the
transmission on LTE may limit the power available for NR transmission and vice
versa. The basic principle is that the LTE transmission has priority, that is the
LTE carrier is transmitted with the power given by the LTE uplink power control
[28]. The NR transmission can then use whatever power is left up to the power
given by the power-control expression
The reason for prioritizing LTE over NR is multifold:
• In the specification of NR, including the support for NR/LTE dual
connectivity, there has been an aim to as much as possible avoid any impact
on the LTE specifications. Imposing restrictions on the LTE power control,
due to the simultaneous transmission on NR, would have implied such an
impact.
• At least initially, LTE/NR dual-connectivity will have LTE providing the
control-plane signaling, that is, LTE is used for the master cell group (MCG).
The LTE link is thus more critical in terms of retaining connectivity and it
makes sense to priorities that link over the “secondary” NR link.

6. UE reports to the network 4G and 5G measurements for signal quality
7. UE tunes its receiver on 4G and 5G frequencies
8. UE does a Random access procedure to the 5G
9. No LTE conn, no 5G conn

- Antena 4G ii cere sa ii trimita masuratorile de semnal/calitate cu privire la antena 5G de care este legata, telefonul se conformeaza.
- Mai toata semnalizarea se face cu antena 4G, cu aia 5G se trimit ceva mesaje de acces dupa ce telefonul primeste frecventele ei.
- Daca nu e LTE nu e nici 5G. Antena 4G e master, 5G slave.

Cu solutia actual, NSA, se imbunatateste doar viteza pe download ca se implica si 5G ul in paralel; latenta (aia buna la jocuri, realitate virtuala si la doctorii care opereaza de departe) si capacitatea de milioane de deviceuri se vor face in episodul viitor: 5G Stand Alone, la anu si la multi ani. Acum important e sa scrie 5G pe telefon in dreapta sus.
